Job Description

Education & IT Ltd are looking for someone who has passion for technology and its fast-changing landscape.

We have a large client base of schools in and around Birmingham, that require IT support from a knowledgeable, social and personable individual, who will solve their IT issues and provide exceptional customer service. We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Technician Team on a full time basis.

You will need to have experience in IT support and trouble shooting. Server and networking skills are desirable.

As travel is involved, you will require your own transport. We pay mileage covered for work purposes.

When not onsite you would be expected to be on helpdesk duties, responding to tickets logged by the schools and other clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



School IT Technician Key Responsibilities



Install, configure and maintain workstations Install, configure, and maintain peripherals (e.g. printers, scanners, projector, cameras, etc.) Maintain Microsoft Servers, AD, GPO's, file shares, permissions, and other server functions in use is desirable Good understanding of Office 365 - Outlook, Azure, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams and Sharepoint Online. Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems Experience in supporting Wi-Fi networks Check, maintain and test backup solutions Check, maintain and update anti-virus solutions Maintain switches, routers, and other network devices Install, configure and maintain software Provide relevant and cost-effective advice Maintain cordial relationships with customer site liaison and the customers' users Liaise with third party suppliers used by the customer Assist in the maintenance of records (e.g. inventory, support requests, etc.) Maintain company documentation concerning customer site Any other duties stipulated by the company or customer

Excellent communication skills, both via telephone and in person Be able to work on their initiative Highly organised and practical, with a proactive approach to problem-solving Maintain focus under high?pressure situations Have high-quality inter-personal skills Have sensitivity to the different levels of expertise amongst client users Keep abreast of new developments in software and hardware The ability for self-directed learning UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle

Pay: 26,000.00-32,000.00 per year
