Job Description

We are recruiting for our client, who is seeking a proactive and technically

skilled IT / AV Technician

, this role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and support of IT and audiovisual systems across various sites. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting in both the maintenance and implementation of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities



IT/AV Support:



Provide first-line support for audiovisual and IT-related issues. Ensure the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV equipment in classrooms, meeting rooms, and other areas. Assist in the installation, configuration, and support of end-user devices, including PCs, laptops, and mobile devices. Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and uptime. Support users with IT-related requests, offering technical assistance and guidance where necessary.

Technical Maintenance and Implementation:



Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure reliability and functionality. Assist in the implementation of IT solutions, coordinating with the internal team and external partners when required. Configure and maintain software applications, ensuring they meet the organisation's needs. Identify and resolve hardware or software issues, escalating complex problems to senior technicians or external partners.

Collaboration and Communication:



Work closely with other departments to ensure IT/AV needs are met efficiently and effectively. Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and support requests. Communicate clearly with staff and stakeholders, offering training and support for AV and IT equipment use when necessary. Keep up to date with emerging AV/IT technologies, identifying opportunities for future improvements.

Essential Requirements:



Hands-on experience with AV and IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Good knowledge of network infrastructure and end-user device management. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. Full UK driving license and the ability to travel between sites.

Desirable Experience:



Experience in the education sector, supporting IT/AV systems in schools or similar environments. Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and video conferencing solutions. Familiarity with AV control systems and networking basics.
