We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting users with desktop support, and maintaining network security through effective firewall management. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of various operating systems.
Duties
Provide desktop support for both Windows and Mac OS environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and operating systems.
Manage help desk requests using Jira to track and prioritise tasks efficiently.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Ensure network security by monitoring firewalls and implementing necessary updates.
Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to understand their technical needs.
Document solutions and procedures for future reference to enhance the knowledge base.
Qualifications
Proven experience in technical support or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.
Familiarity with firewalls and network security protocols.
Experience using help desk software, particularly Jira, is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving existing processes.
Relevant certifications in IT support or related fields are desirable but not essential.
