We are seeking a skilled and passionate IT Technician to provide comprehensive technical support within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of IT systems, ensuring smooth operation across various platforms. The IT Technician will play a vital role in supporting our IT infrastructure, including operating systems and sales channels such as Windows, macOS, shopify ebay Amazon, as well as managing network components like LAN, VPNs, APIs,plug and firewalls. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and committed to delivering high-quality solutions and support. the candidate will have a good understanding of chat GPT and AI systems as duties will include supporting the marking team and optimising the website for optimal search using various tools.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the organisation.
Assist users with desktop support tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and peripherals.
Manage and resolve issues related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Support network infrastructure including LAN setup, VPN connectivity, firewalls, and related security measures.
Utilise help desk tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira to log incidents and track resolutions efficiently.
Conduct regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with other team members to implement new solutions and improve existing systems.
Maintain documentation of procedures and configurations to facilitate ongoing support activities.
Experience
Proven experience in computer networking, software troubleshooting, and technical support roles.
Familiarity with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Hands-on experience with desktop support tasks and hardware management.
Knowledge of network security protocols such as VPNs and firewalls.
Experience using IT service management tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
