About the Role

As an IT Technician, you'll be responsible for providing hands-on technical support to our clients both remotely and on-site. You'll troubleshoot a wide range of hardware, software, and networking issues while ensuring that every client receives the professional and friendly service Duke IT is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues

Set up, configure, and maintain PCs and laptops across Windows and macOS environments

Deliver excellent customer service through clear, jargon-free communication

Collaborate with colleagues to resolve client issues efficiently

Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance

Configure and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment (LAN, VPNs, firewalls, switches)

Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers and related infrastructure

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence (required)

Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles

Strong knowledge of computer networking (LAN, VPNs, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows, macOS)

Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues using tools such as the Microsoft Business Suite

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail

Customer-focused attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
