Supporting the Senior IT Technician in overseeing the external IT team. Performing daily IT administrative tasks, offering technical assistance to employees, and instructing staff on the latest IT systems. Aiding in the maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure to adhere to highest of industry standards, actively contributing to future enhancements, and recommending innovative IT solutions to enhance business operations.
Please note: This job is hybrid so will require at least one day a week at our Nottingham head office.

Main Responsibilities and Duties
Providing technical support and cover for the Serenova telephony system
Administering and enhancing the Jira ticketing system to improve efficiency
Managing IT assets, including tracking, replacements, and lifecycle management
Overseeing NHS.net email aliases, including user setup and removal
Supporting the organisations compliance with ISO27001 and ITIL best practice and provide assistance to internal and external audits such as Cyber Essentials/Plus.
Supporting and contributing to the company's information security by following established policies and procedures, supporting the protection of its systems and information by promptly reporting observed risks and incidents and promoting a culture of cyber awareness and vigilance.
Assisting with the administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Autopilot, Intune, and Defender
Setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access groups
Supporting the management of cloud and data storage solutions, primarily SharePoint and OneDrive
Creating, maintaining, and optimising SharePoint sites, implementing new features to benefit the business
Collaborating with external IT providers to monitor IT assets and drive continuous improvement
Managing hardware and software across multiple platforms, including licensing compliance
Installing and configuring new hardware and software (e.g. workstations, printers, etc.)
Contributing to IT strategy by identifying improvements and recommending solutions to business challenges
Involved in the implementation of new software solutions, from initial evaluation through to deployment and support
Enhancing and optimising existing software systems to improve usability, performance, and alignment with business needs
Performing remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of technical issues
Logging and resolving support requests, escalating to third-party providers such as Microsoft when necessary
Essential
Education, Qualifications and Training
Understanding of all Microsoft applications, especially O365, Entra and SharePoint
Desktop device management and training (acquiring new devices, set-up and support)
Experience
Good level of proven experience within an IT role
Experience using MS Autopilot, Intune, Purview & Defender
Patch management
Spam filter management and configuration
Knowledge and Skills
Ability to manage and create effective relationships with third party suppliers
Desirable
Education, Qualifications and Training
Any Microsoft based qualifications
An understanding of network devices and systems management (incl. Cisco Umbrella & Mimecast)
Experience building complex Atlassian projects
Experience
Healthcare IT environment experience
Experience in IT security testing
Experience using Qualys
Knowledge and Skills
Website development (Wix & WordPress)
A good understanding of ISO 27001, DPA and GDPR
