About the role
The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance across CitNOW Group's IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end-users and assisting with IT projects and security initiatives.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team.
You will:
Act as the first point of contact for IT support for employees across the organisation, providing 1st and 2nd line support for end users across multiple sites
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, laptops, mobile devices, and network equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues, escalating complex problems as required
Maintain and update technical documentation and inventory records
Support the onboarding and offboarding of users, including account creation and permissions management (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SSO, etc.)
Enforce security best practices, including antivirus, firewall, and vulnerability management
Assist with IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations and rollouts
Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve issues and coordinate installations
Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance IT proficiency
Participate in regular IT team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
We are looking for:
Hands-on experience in an IT support role, ideally across both 1st and 2nd line environments
Knowledge of supporting multiple operating systems including, Windows, macOS and mobile operating systems (Android/iOS)
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including, SharePoint, Teams, and Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Understanding of core networking concepts (LAN/WAN/WiFi)
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
A strong passion for technology and security, with a drive to stay informed and apply best practices in data protection
