The IT Team
We are a dynamic, lean, and agile team providing IT business and support services across all four offices for our
employees and partners. We pride ourselves on our ability to assist in delivering a quality service to all our clients.
We are constantly looking at how we can improve the user experience and provide our users with the best solutions
enabling them to work smarter. The role of IT Trainer is pivotal to achieving this, reporting to the Head of IT, this role
is essential in upholding the delivery of high-quality training for users across the business.
The remote support of our users is a key aspect to our Business-as-Usual running, due to our agile working we are
pragmatic and flexible with our service delivery.
This purpose of this role is to provide cover whilst the IT Trainer is away on maternity leave. The successful onboarding
as well as training of our colleagues is of paramount importance to the firm and it is a key priority for us to ensure
this is maintained during the period of leave.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The role ensures effective onboarding and continuous development of colleagues through IT training. You will deliver
engaging, practical sessions on our key systems and applications, helping staff get the best from the tools available to
them.
This is a hybrid role based in London, with occasional travel to other offices (with notice).

  • Deliver IT inductions for new starters, ensuring a smooth and confident start.
  • Design and deliver training for existing staff across core and bespoke applications.
  • Provide training in a variety of formats including:
  • Online learning resources and documentation
  • Create a monthly offering of training
  • Offer a monthly offering of training sessions tailored to staff needs
  • Group sessions and workshops
  • 1:1 coaching
  • Drop-in clinics and floor walking
  • Develop and update training materials and communications.
  • Support colleagues with advanced queries on Microsoft Office.
  • Work with the development team to provide training on in-house applications such as iManage.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to identify and address team training needs.
  • Contribute to working groups on IT and business change projects.
  • Provide advanced support on major software products, assisting with more complex or escalated user issues
when required.
  • Design and deliver training that enables new joiners and existing staff to make the most of the IT tools available
to them.
  • Work closely with the internal development team to create and maintain a structured training plan for bespoke
applications (e.g. iManage), ensuring materials and knowledge are kept up to date with new versions and
releases.
  • Contribute actively to working groups focused on business or IT changes that impact colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to identify training needs within the Service Desk team and help
deliver targeted training to close any gaps.

Person Specification
Essential skills
  • Minimum of five 9-4 grades at GCSE or equivalent including grade 6 in English & Maths.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Skilled IT trainer with experience of training at all levels and understanding of the 3 learning styles.
  • Experience of business process modelling, use cases and case modelling.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload, to have a flexible approach to ensure all
deadline are met.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.
  • A high attention to detail to produce work/documentation which is consistently of a high standard.
  • An enthusiastic personality with a customer service orientated approach.
Desirable skills
  • Degree in Business Information Systems, Business Management, Computing and systems development or
Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with Camtasia, Create Studio, or similar video/audio editing tools
  • Exposure to supporting or developing a Learning Management System (LMS)Microsoft Office Certification
(Associate, Specialist, or Master)
  • At least two years of experience achieved within a similar professional working environment.
  • Qualifications in IT Training: e.g. ECDL, Certificate/Diploma in IT skills, Certificate/Diploma in Learning and
Development Practice, MS Office Specialist certification.
