Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to drive to various locations as needed. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour. Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance care skills. Drive to clients' homes or other locations as required for service delivery.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. Ability to drive is essential for travelling between care locations. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic care systems. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Experience working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and connect with clients on a personal level. Ability to speak and understand other languages, Italian, Urdu, Punjabi
