Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to during food preparation and production. Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficiency in various baking techniques and culinary skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for culinary arts, particularly in pastry creation.
