About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ITU or Complex Care Nurse to support a male client with complex health needs, including a tracheostomy, in his own home in Farnham, Surrey. This is a 1:1 role providing consistent, high-quality care in a comfortable and familiar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 nursing care, including full tracheostomy management and emergency tracheostomy changes. Maintain tracheostomy patency and hygiene; perform routine and emergency tube changes. Support respiratory needs including suctioning and oxygen therapy. Monitor clinical condition and respond promptly to any signs of deterioration. Liaise with family, carers, and the wider MDT to ensure safe, coordinated care. Maintain accurate care records and follow CQC/NMC standards. Provide person-centred care that respects client dignity and independence.
Essential Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RGN/RNC) with a valid NMC PIN. Minimum 1 year's experience in ITU, HDU, or complex care. Proven competency in tracheostomy care including emergency trache change. Skilled in suctioning, PEG feeding, and medication administration. Confident in emergency response and clinical decision-making. Up-to-date mandatory training (client-specific training provided). Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
Full UK driving licence.
