We are seeking a highly motivated IVVQ Engineer to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of system, software, and hardware engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and verifying that our products meet all specified requirements, while playing a key part in supporting successful delivery to our customers. Reporting to the IVVQ Manager & Engineering Delivery Manager, you will engage across the entire product lifecycle - from initial specification through to final delivery - with opportunities to contribute to a diverse portfolio of products. ey Responsibilities and Tasks



Develop, review, and execute comprehensive system test scripts, cases, and descriptions in alignment with the IVV plan, conducting tests both independently and alongside customer representatives Record, analyse, and report test outcomes through formal reports and databases, including results from both scripted and unscripted debug testing Manage and track defects, bugs, and issues using JIRA, collaborating closely with systems and software teams to ensure timely resolution Generate and modify test simulation data to support verification activities Lead system and subsystem verification efforts, preparing detailed verification reports and collating compliance evidence Communicate design non-compliances and technical risks to stakeholders clearly, recommending effective mitigation strategies Build, configure, and maintain system equipment, including installation of operating systems and Thales' software, ensuring readiness for testing Conduct installations and perform rigorous testing at customer sites, ensuring seamless delivery and support

Essential:

Bachelor's degree (BEng, BSc) or equivalent in a numerate, scientific, or engineering discipline Proven expertise in system and software testing, utilizing test management, reporting, and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) to support collaborative reporting and resolution processes Demonstrated strong analytical skills in interpreting test results to identify and resolve technical bugs and issues effectively Experienced in integration, verification, validation, and qualification of complex systems within defence, aerospace, transportation, and security sectors, including generating and modifying simulation data to support verification activities Skilled in performing installations, conducting on-site system tests at customer locations, and installing and maintaining system hardware/software, including operating systems and Thales software Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with customers during validation phases Demonstrated excellence in conveying technical results, defects, compliance issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear, concise technical reports for auditing and compliance purposes Goal-oriented and delivery-focused, showing strong innovation, self-motivation, dedication, and determination to successfully complete tasks in high-pressure environments Willing to travel both within the UK and internationally as required

Demonstrated extensive experience in the defence industry, understanding its unique requirements, standards, and operational environments Proven expertise in systems engineering, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and lifecycle management to deliver complex defence solutions Demonstrated software test and verification experience, executing comprehensive test plans and methodologies to ensure software reliability, performance, and compliance with defence standards

This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats.
