Responsibilities
Prepare Jalebi batter to the correct consistency and set up the fryer station for daily service.
Fry Jalebi in hot oil, creating the signature spiral shapes with precision and consistency.
Soak fried Jalebi in sugar syrup to achieve authentic flavor and texture.
Monitor cooking times and oil temperatures to maintain quality and food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the fryer and surrounding work area throughout shifts.
Follow all food safety regulations and kitchen protocols diligently.
Assist with preparation of other sweets or dishes as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience in frying techniques or sweet preparation, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers.
Strong attention to detail for consistency in shape, crispness, and presentation.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Enthusiasm for traditional South Asian cuisine and willingness to learn new techniques.
