Java Backend Engineer (Innovative AI Company!)

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BASED IN Cambridge -UK it\'s a Hybrid Working role so we really need the Java Developer to be based in the local rea.

HQ In Cambridge- Based in Central Cambridge. This is a Hybrid working role. They are flexible but will ideally need the candidate to be in the office for 2-3 days a week for an onsite Collab Day.

This company is looking to HIRE a Driven, Motivated and Engaging SOFT SKILLS Driven Data Analysts who can communicate well and happy to be stakeholder focused. Someone who is not Afraid to get stuck in and be hands on when needed. You will be the Main GO TO person and have FULL Autonomy to build the DATA Pipeline and Vision for the company. We are looking for a Relationship Builder and the Maturity to work in a Fast-paced Projects led Environment.

You will be working in a Fast-Paced Environment where they are looking for people to get things done! Ultra Collaborative and Innovative culture.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and the ability to perform independent research to arrive at comprehensive and efficient solutions
• Background in Computer Science, Data Science or other related technical fields
• Strong Java skills, demonstrated through commercial experience and/or open source contributions
• Understanding of unit testing and test-driven development
• Git version control
• Relational databases e.g. MySQL, SQL Server or PostgreSQL

Desirable skills

• Experience with a Lucene based search system e.g. SOLR or Elasticsearch
• Python
• Natural language processing
• Linux tool usage
