We are seeking an experienced Contract Java Developer to join our clients development team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development skills, a solid understanding of modern Java technologies, and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and debug applications using Java 8 / Java 17. Build and enhance Spring Boot / Spring MVC microservices and related components. Develop and maintain front-end and back-end web features using Thymeleaf, JSP, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies. Collaborate within SCRUM teams, participating in sprints, planning, and reviews. Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using build tools such as Gradle or Maven. Manage code quality and version control through Git, including branching and merging workflows. Work with relational databases, including data modelling, writing SQL scripts, and developing stored procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or related field is desirable but not essential; ability to demonstrate previous project work is more important. Proven experience in designing, coding, testing, and troubleshooting Java-based systems. Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservice architectures. Solid understanding of web technologies and templating frameworks. Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and SQL. Experience working in agile environments using SCRUM. * Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and source control systems.
