About The Team

You'll be joining our

JD Star Graduate Pathway

, designed to give early-career talent hands-on experience

as a Software Engineer

working in our new Technology Centre in London, supporting the building and improvement of our Retail Platforms. We value curiosity, collaboration, and the confidence to take ownership in a fast-moving environment, helping you build real skills and make real impact from day one.


Alongside mentorship and learning experiences your day to day role will cover responsibilities such as:

Develop e-commerce risk control systems (real-time risk engine, rule systems) with Java to support interception of spam registration, abnormal transactions. Resolve high concurrency with microservices (Spring Cloud/Dubbo), caching (Redis), message queues (Kafka) to ensure low-latency. Connect with the algorithm team to deploy model APIs, collaborate with product/test teams for requirement delivery and online maintenance.

About You

We're looking for the brightest of minds to join our Tech Engineering team, here's who we're looking for:

Graduated in 2025 studying a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related academic area Proficient in Java, understanding of microservice frameworks and familiar with distributed systems and middleware (Redis/Kafka). Understand e-commerce risk scenarios, with high-concurrency troubleshooting ability. Ability to join the team in December 2025 based in central London, UK. We will be hiring for 2026 starts shortly. Eligibility to work in the UK full time - we welcome applications from domestic and international students.
Preferred but not mandatory for this role:

Chinese Mandarin language is always helpful when working in a Chinese business but this is not essential. Not speaking Mandarin will not be of detriment to your application.
