My client are a leading designer and manufacturing of injection moulded products for the UK and European markets. For the last 60 years, this business has been at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and manufacturing processes within their sector and supply several brands recognised across the world.
As a privately owned business, they have a proud record of enhancing and developing their staff through training and have promoted many individuals through the system to the roles they sit in today. As a Jig/Tool Manufacturer, you will find yourself working closely with other teams to achieve set production goals and quality standards.
Your main job purposes will include, but not be limited to
Fabricate and assemble tools and fixtures for a variety of hand assembly tasks undertaken within the production process
Liaising with design and manufacturing teams to ensure tooling/jigs are built to specification and standards required
Maintain existing jigs and fixtures as required
Work safely and efficiently, adhering to the companies' standards and procedures
Ideally you will have 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector and be able to demonstrate knowledge and a technical skill set at interview. Strong mechanical assembly and fabrication skills are essential, along with good working knowledge of a variety of workshop machinery used in the production of tools and jigs.
A background or working knowledge of continuous improvement or lean techniques is preferred, but not essential.
Working on a day shift, 8am to 4.30pm, my client offers a competitive starting rate with the chance to develop your skill set through training available.
