We have an exciting opportunity for a Job Coach specialising in
Employer Engagement
to join our Employment Team in Exeter and East Devon. If you have experience in CEIAG (Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance), hold a full UK driving licence, and are passionate about inclusive employment, we would love to hear from you.
About you
You will support delivery of the programme through a combination of education-based and work-related activities, delivered both one-to-one and in group settings.
You will:
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to develop a portfolio of inclusive employment opportunities
Identify and develop Supported Internships, Apprenticeships, Employer Visits and Work Experience opportunities
Conduct workplace health and safety checks to ensure suitability for the people we support
Engage and motivate young people in the community, encouraging participation and progression towards positive outcomes
Provide employer engagement and in-work support to ensure sustainable employment outcomes for young people aged 16-24
Support young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), including those with complex needs or from marginalised communities
Plan and deliver a person-centred, accredited programme tailored to individual needs and aspirations
Interventions may include:
Confidence building and personal development
CV writing, job searching and interview skills
Travel training
Health and wellbeing activities
Cooking and independent living skills
Community projects
Supported work tasters, work experience, internships and job trials
Skills and experience
You will have:
Experience working with young people in educational or support settings, including those with special educational needs and behavioural challenges
An understanding of supported employment processes
Knowledge of employer engagement and inclusive employment practices
Basic understanding of social enterprise models
Strong IT, organisational and self-management skills
A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work independently
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the locality
