An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team as a Job Coach on a Fixed Term Contract.
Principle role
.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for, and manage a caseload of adult participants, providing support, guidance and mentoring to ensure the attainment of sustainable employment is achieved in a timely manner.
Manage own caseload and engage with participant(s) to determine training/learning needs and work goals.
Plan and set SMART targets to ensure active participant progress
Address barriers to engagement, developing creative approaches
Deliver/support training sessions using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate participants to enhance their skills and employment opportunities
Provide or signpost focused support for participants with varied learning needs & requirements
Manage on line diary to provide effective use of time with participant
Use IT systems effectively to match participants to employment opportunities.
Work as part of a team to ensure a quality experience for the participant.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Proven experience of working with unemployed adults and passionate about making a difference
Proactive, engaging and approachable style
An understanding of barriers to employment and how to motivate change
Highly organised with applied IT skills
Car owner/driver is essential.
Desirable
Qualified or willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in employability or equivalent qualifications
Ability to converse in Welsh is desirable and the commitment to learn is essential
The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records, the cost paid for by the Company.
We have offices in Merthyr, Llantrisant, Porth and Pontypridd. The successful candidate will be required to travel to any of these locations with a travel reimbursement at 45p per mile
Salary and benefits: 23,669
35 hour working week. Part time hours are negotiable.
Generous package of 32 days annual leave entitlement (pro rata).
Fixed Term contract - July 2026.
