The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Cleaner to join our team at a busy nursery. This role is part-time, fixed at 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday (Excluding Thursday's ) (8 hours per week). Immediately after the nursery closes.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily cleaning across assigned nursery areas. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Clean and sanitise toilets, kitchens, office, and conjoining playrooms. Replenish washroom facilities: toilet rolls, paper towels, soap, nappies disposal bags. Manage cleaning inventory and report stock levels to the Contracts Manager. Perform periodic tasks: emptying bins, replacing vacuum bags, equipment care. Keep cleaning cupboards tidy and organised, despite limited storage space. Maintain dishwasher and reset mats/play equipment after cleaning. Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Follow cleaning protocols and health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in contract cleaning, ideally in nurseries, schools, or childcare settings. Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic. Excellent time management to complete tasks within allocated hours. Ability to work independently while following a set cleaning schedule. Good communication skills for reporting and updates. A driving licence is not essential but highly favoured. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
