Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves heavy lifting and requires a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes in all projects. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structures, as well as performing essential maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting materials Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square Stripping out lath and plaster Inspecting existing timbers Installing insulation throughout homes and building Plasterboarding Installing finishings Working in tight spaces Working to deadlines to get the job done on schedule Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to complete projects efficiently Maintain a clean and organised work environment Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role Strong understanding of joinery techniques and principles Familiarity with electrical installations is advantageous but not essential Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
