Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role in particular requires experiemce in window unit replacement and involves constructing, assembling, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Duties

Construct, assemble, and install wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood. Carry out painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of finished products. Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects involving roofing, masonry, and other construction elements. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and in accordance with building codes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential. Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and power tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience with roofing techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of masonry practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to various job sites.
