We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes. The Joiner will work on various projects, contributing to the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Duties
Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture.
Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all components fit together seamlessly.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
Conduct painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and masons, to ensure cohesive project execution.
Carry out heavy lifting as required during the installation of large components.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a solid understanding of joinery techniques.
Proficiency in using power tools (e.g., saws, drills) and hand tools (e.g., chisels, planes).
Familiarity with electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge of masonry techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
A valid driving licence may be required for site visits.
