Bench Joiners

to join our state-of-the-art production facility in North West London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious projects with a collaborative team dedicated to excellence.

As a Bench Joiner at Fit Out UK, you will craft and install high-quality joinery components, contributing to bespoke projects that meet exacting client standards. Working in our modern North West London facility, you will collaborate with skilled professionals to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and shape materials (e.g., hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, laminates) to precise specifications using advanced tools and machinery. Construct and assemble custom joinery, including doors, windows, cabinets, staircases, and bespoke furniture. Install joinery components on-site or in the workshop, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with project designs. Fit hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and drawer runners with precision. Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with Fit Out UK's standards and safety regulations. Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, painters, and other trades to ensure timely project completion. Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized workspace. Perform maintenance or repairs on existing joinery installations as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned based on project requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

: 3+ years of experience as a Bench Joiner or similar role in commercial/residential projects. Proficiency with joinery tools (saws, routers, planers, sanders) and machinery (CNC experience a plus). Strong knowledge of wood types (e.g., oak, walnut), engineered materials, and finishes (veneers, lacquers). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs. Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly. Strong problem-solving skills to address fabrication or installation challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with project teams. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe tool operation. Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

Desirable

: Experience with CNC machinery. Familiarity with sustainable materials and modern joinery techniques.
