Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating proficiency in both fabrication and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach, working with a variety of materials and tools to create high-quality structures and fittings. The Joiner will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, fittings, and furniture according to specifications Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete joinery tasks Perform carpentry work including roofing, flooring, and installation of doors and windows Carry out construction painting as required for finishing touches Assist with plumbing tasks related to joinery projects Engage in masonry work as needed for structural integrity Conduct electrical installations where applicable, ensuring compliance with safety regulations Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential Strong skills in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Familiarity with roofing practices is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks Experience in construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is desirable but not mandatory Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
