Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to fabricate and install various structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of building materials and techniques. The Joiner will work on a variety of projects, including roofing, masonry, and electrical installations, ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as frames, doors, windows, and furniture. Install roofing systems and ensure proper sealing and insulation. Use heavy lifting techniques to manoeuvre large materials safely. Operate power tools and hand tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Ensure all work is completed to specification and quality standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using both hand tools (saws, chisels, planes) and power tools (drills, sanders). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills for effective teamwork on-site. Own van and tools preferred but not essential.
