Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, demonstrating proficiency with hand tools and the ability to work with various materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications. As a Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the construction and assembly of wooden structures, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Construct, assemble, and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform joinery tasks. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and electricians. Perform heavy lifting as required during the assembly of larger components. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed work. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Assist with masonry work when necessary to support structural integrity.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans accurately. Experience with roofing structures is advantageous. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
