Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various hand tools and materials. This role involves constructing, assembling, and installing wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials for various projects. Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, and cabinetry. Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to design specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and electricians to complete projects efficiently. Fabricate bespoke wooden structures as required by project specifications. Conduct heavy lifting as necessary during the assembly and installation processes. Assist in roofing tasks when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Carry out painting and finishing work on completed projects to enhance aesthetics. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools relevant to joinery and carpentry. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and practices. Ability to plumb structures accurately for optimal installation. Experience in assembling various types of wooden fixtures and fittings. Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Familiarity with roofing tasks is advantageous. Basic painting skills for finishing touches on projects. Understanding of electrical work is a plus but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.50-20.28 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 45 per week
