Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various wooden structures and components. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, along with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. The Joiner will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and specifications, contributing to the successful completion of projects within set timelines.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine project requirements. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform joinery tasks. Conduct measurements and ensure accuracy in cutting materials. Perform heavy lifting as required when handling materials and components. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed work. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to achieve project goals.

Skills

Proficient in joinery techniques, with a strong understanding of carpentry principles. Experience in fabricating and assembling wooden structures. Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, and hammers effectively. Familiarity with power tools including drills, routers, and sanders. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials. Competence in painting and finishing techniques for woodwork. Knowledge of plumbing principles is advantageous for certain projects. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
