Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshop environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including roofing, cabinetry, and general carpentry, contributing to high-quality building solutions. Applicants should possess a strong background in joinery and related trades, with a commitment to safety and precision.

Duties



Fabricate and assemble bespoke wooden components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and fitted furniture on construction sites. Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, and fitting timber structures. Assist with roofing projects by installing rafters, battens, and other roof components. Conduct basic plumbing or electrical work where required, ensuring integration with carpentry elements. Carry out masonry or construction painting tasks as part of larger building projects. Handle heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently during installation or transportation within sites. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to adhere to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, and masons to ensure project completion within deadlines.

Skills



Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry work. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and saws. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and materials used in construction projects. Experience with roofing installation processes and materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling or installation tasks. Basic understanding of plumbing or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with masonry or construction painting is beneficial. Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise workmanship. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse construction environments.
