Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for the fabrication and assembly of cabinetry and various wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Perform joinery work, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Carry out construction painting as required for finishing touches. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Assist in heavy lifting tasks associated with moving materials and completed projects.

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential. Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely. Knowledge of carpentry principles and practices. Experience with roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
