Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in woodworking and construction, demonstrating proficiency with various hand and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Joiner will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as door frames, window frames, and furniture. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process. Execute masonry tasks as needed for structural support. Conduct painting and finishing work to ensure high-quality aesthetics. Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square. Assist with electrical installations when necessary. Collaborate with other tradespeople on roofing projects as required. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety.

Requirements

Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential. Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and drills. Experience in using power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) safely. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with basic electrical work is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. A valid driving licence may be required for site visits.
