Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bespoke joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in every project both in workshop environment and on site. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Use hand tools, workshop machinery and power tools effectively to complete joinery tasks. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing wooden structures. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed work. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and equipment related to joinery. Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Must have valid driving licence and own transport. Must hold a valid CSCS card. Must have a valid UTR.
