Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material components on-site and in workshop environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and specialised construction tasks. The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience using hand tools and power tools, and demonstrate the ability to undertake heavy lifting and physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities



Fabricate bespoke joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications Assemble structures using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques Install wooden frameworks, fixtures, or fittings in accordance with project plans Conduct roofing, masonry, plumbing, or electrical tasks as required within scope of expertise Perform construction painting and finishing work to ensure high-quality standards Carry out heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently on-site Collaborate with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, or masons to ensure seamless project progression Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Skills



Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders) Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is desirable Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and cutting materials accurately Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment Basic understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 4 weeks

Pay: 18.00-22.00 per hour
