Job Description

We are seeking 2 x skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to handle various tasks .

This role requires proficiency in using power tools and the capability to fabricate and assemble structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship. The Carpenter will be responsible for both interior and exterior projects, including roofing, doors, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Execute joinery tasks with precision to ensure strong and durable connections. Operate power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Assemble components of buildings such as roofs, walls, and floors according to specifications. Fabricate custom pieces as per project requirements while adhering to quality standards i.e. built in furniture. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Engage in painting tasks to finish surfaces as required by the project scope. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including joinery and masonry. Ability to operate a variety of power tools safely and effectively. Experience in assembling structures such as roofs is highly desirable. Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for long periods during work hours. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
