Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry and joinery to contribute to a project located in Leeds. Including all forms of first and second fix joinery. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications. Install joinery elements such as doors, partitions, and cabinetry on-site. Perform roofing tasks including sheathing as required. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure smooth workflow. Use carpentry and joinery techniques to produce high-quality finishes for various structures. Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently within deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery is essential. Proficiency with hand tools Experience operating power tools safely and effectively. Ability to carry out heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual tasks across multiple sites. Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not mandatory. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour
