Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing carpentry and joinery services. The work will include the repair and renewal of the railway's passenger carriages and rolling stock (all woodwork), the maintenance of buildings and structures, constructing fencing and signage and to lead with other woodworking projects.

Key skills

Knowledge of woodwork and construction Ability to develop safe and economic maintenance regimes to comply with Company rules and the Safety Management System Attention to detail Ability to work well with others Ability to use woodworking machines safely Ability to work on your own Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer and use Microsoft programs. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable
You will be a key member of a small but dedicated team who keep the railway operating successfully and profitably. You will be required to work weekends on a rota basis during the passenger train operating season. The successful candidate must possess a sound knowledge of health & safety legislation and have the ability to carry out risk assessments. Training will be provided as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour
