Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our team specialising in the installation, maintenance and repairs of certified Fire Door sets across commercial and residential properties. This critical role ensures all work complies with the latest fire safety regulations helping us deliver essential passive fire protection services to our clients.

Duties

Installation & Remediation:

Perform the precise installation of new fire door sets and carry out remedial work and maintenance on existing doors and associated ironmongery according to FoA and Data sheets.

Compliance:

Ensure all work strictly adheres to current UK fire safety regulations and industry standards through BM Trada Q-Mark certification scheme.

Inspections & Documentation:

Conduct fire door inspections, maintenance and installations, accurately document findings and capture clear, concise images to be uploaded to FireDNA.

Health & Safety:

Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely.

Teamwork & Initiative:

Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or above in Carpentry & Joinery.

Experience:

Proven, extensive experience as a Carpenter/Joiner, with specific prior experience in fire door installation and maintenance is essential.

Skills

Knowledge/ experience in fire resistant materials, hardware and passive firestopping desirable. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential as well as strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Own tools and PPE required. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel essential.
