Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshop environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential roofing to bespoke carpentry, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and construction excellence.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery techniques Install structural components such as flooring, roofing frameworks, doors, windows, and bespoke furniture Assist with masonry, plumbing, electrical tasks, and construction painting as required on-site Perform heavy lifting of materials safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure precise execution of work Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, and masons to complete integrated projects

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, screwdrivers; familiarity with power tools including drills and saws Knowledge of roofing installation methods and construction painting processes Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a construction environment Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, electrical systems is advantageous Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in interpreting technical drawings Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
