Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Supervisor to lead our team in delivering high-quality carpentry projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be skilled in managing a team effectively. This role requires hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of both hand and power tools. The Carpenter Supervisor will oversee all aspects of carpentry work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpentry teams on-site. Oversee the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures, ensuring adherence to design specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools for various carpentry tasks, including joinery and roofing. Conduct regular inspections of work to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations. Manage heavy lifting tasks safely, ensuring proper techniques are used by all team members. Collaborate with other tradespeople for tasks involving plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and construction painting. Provide training and mentorship to junior carpenters, promoting skill development within the team. Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, joinery, roofing, and construction painting. Familiarity with plumbing and masonry work is advantageous. Experience using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by project demands. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid qualifications or certifications in carpentry or related fields are preferred.

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
