Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our property maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role involves both reactive and planned maintenance for a property rental company.

Duties

Use hand tools and power tools proficiently for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood. Perform roofing tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and alignment. Engage in construction painting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished products. Conduct plumbing tasks related to joinery projects when necessary. Execute masonry work as needed for structural integrity. Apply electrical experience to assist with installations that require joinery integration. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently during the construction process. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or a related field is essential. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to woodworking. Knowledge of roofing practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Experience in construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is desirable but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
