We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of various hand and power tools. Duties
Construct, install, and repair wooden frameworks, fixtures, and fittings for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
Fabricate bespoke components through precise measurements and cutting techniques.
Assemble structures using hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and specialised joinery equipment.
Operate power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and planers to ensure accurate assembly.
Assist with roofing tasks by fitting roof trusses or other timber components as required.
Perform heavy lifting of materials safely to facilitate efficient workflow.
Undertake construction painting where necessary to prepare surfaces for finishing.
Collaborate with other trades such as plumbers, electricians, or masons to ensure seamless project completion.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in carpentry or joinery with a portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and the use of both hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of roofing techniques and construction painting is desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site.
Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately.
Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour tasks throughout the working day.
