Joinery Draughtsman / Architectural Design Assistant
Job Description
4 Day working week - Monday - Thursday 8am - 5:30pm
Johnson Bespoke Joinery and Metal Fabrication Ltd are a dynamic Joinery company based in Hastings, East Sussex. Producing work of the highest calibre for commercial and private clients. Our ethos evolves around delivering products of the highest quality in the most sustainable way possible, working in both wood and metal in often unconventional ways.
Personal specification / Role:
Work with other staff to visualise design ideas
Analyse and interpret architects' drawings and design intent drawings
Joinery and furniture detail drawings
Separate and re-draw individual elements from GA drawings
Use CAD software to communicate design ideas
Communicate clearly and effectively with teammates and clients
Produce shop drawings for client sign-off
Produce workshop drawings
Research and development of materials and products
Work to tight deadlines and move between projects quickly
The ideal candidate will have some level of practical understanding of material application and manufacture processes, and will be able to demonstrate and apply this understanding in their design work.
