Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will assist with various accounting functions, supporting the overall financial health of our organisation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with experience in financial reporting and analysis.

Duties

Prepare and maintain financial statements Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy. Support the preparation of regulatory reports and financial audits. Perform journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning. Participate in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting. Experience with financial software such as Sage or Xero is preferred. Strong analytical skills for financial report interpretation and preparation. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
