About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the smooth running of our accounting processes, assist with financial reporting, and help maintain accurate records across purchase ledgers, expenses, and project costs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone either studying towards AAT qualifications or looking to develop a career in finance and accounting via an apprenticeship route.

What you'll be doing:
Finance & Accounting:
Assist with purchase ledger management, including invoice processing and weekly payment runs.
Reconcile monthly credit card statements for Revolut and NatWest.
Support the Approval Max system for purchase order creation, tracking, and approvals.
Process staff expense claims accurately and ensure timely reimbursement.
Maintain creditor records and support timely supplier payments.
Assist with weekly supplier payments via Bankline.
Request and review monthly supplier statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for.
Support month-end processes, including preparation and reconciliation of prepayments.
Help prepare, review, and reconcile departmental budgets.
Assist in tracking and managing project costs, including Cost of Sales reporting.
Office Support:
Support the consulting team with expense reporting and project-related financial tracking.
Maintain office supplies and coordinate weekly shopping orders.
Assist with general office maintenance, liaising with suppliers or contractors when needed.
About you:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Team player with persistence in problem-solving.
Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
Flexible, proactive and motivated to learn.
Demonstrates awareness of projects from both client and business perspectives.
Desirable:
Currently studying AAT or equivalent accounting qualification
Or
Eager to study an apprenticeship
