is responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making across Kwik Fit Mobile by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. Working within the Demand Planning team, helping to uncover patterns in operational data, support the development of predictive models, and contribute to continuous improvement across our nationwide mobile tyre fitting service.
The Junior AI Data Analyst is a crucial problem-solver and a connector -- working closely with planning, logistics, and service teams to ensure that data is used effectively to improve efficiency, customer experience, and resource planning. With a focus on accuracy, curiosity, and clear communication, this role helps shape how data and AI are used across the business, and plays a vital part in the business meeting customer demand and exceeding expectations.
This permanent role is based upon 40hrs/week operating on a hybrid basis to include spent weekly onsite at our Warrington facility.
Key accountabilities
Utilise artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and programming skills to mine and manage data, supplying business stakeholders with crucial insights.
Leverage analytical, statistical, and programming skills to support informed decision-making.
Clearly communicate insights, through available formats.
Turn data analysis and model outcomes into meaningful actions that drive change across the company.
Identify key metrics that will drive the long-term health of the business.
Develop existing models and implement novel solutions to improve our predictive analytics.
Keep up to date with data analytics industry developments, best practices and policies.
Ensure all company data is treated ethically, upholding confidentiality compliance, GDPR and security standards.
Constantly challenge own assumptions, as well as those of the business.
Maintain objectivity to deliver analytic products with minimal bias.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Report to Line Manager and/or escalate to any other appropriate manager areas of concern, anomalies, or non-compliant aspects are found.
Skills & experience
Educated to degree level preferably in a quantitative discipline - alternatively, relevant job experience in a similar role will also be considered
Sound knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)
Analytical experience, proficient in the use of R/Python and SQL
Exposure to business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is desirable
Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, Jira) is desirable
Basic knowledge of containerisation (e.g. Docker) or cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Oracle Cloud)
Experience with model evaluation metrics and working with real-world messy datasets is desirable
Exceptional attention to detail, passion for quality and logical approach to problem solving
Rigorous understanding of the capabilities and limitations of datasets and analytical techniques; able to separate signal from noise
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to keep the customer front and centre of analytical decision making
Exceptional IT and report generation skills, with thorough experience of using software such as Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems
Confident and effective communicator with the ability to convey information in a clear, structured, and understandable manner, adapting approach to suit different situations
The ability to work under pressure when dealing with multiple competing priorities and challenging deadlines/workload maintaining self-control and a positive attitude
Consistently demonstrate high standards of responsibility, performance, integrity and resilience with the ability to build trust
