Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Support senior chefs in menu planning and food production processes.
Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Contribute creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing menu items.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
