We are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to support commercial efforts to grow revenue in new and existing customers within an assigned territory.

You will assist in proactively engaging with your target customer base to understand their needs and raise awareness of ParentPay Limited and associated partner products and services.

As an entry-level sales role, you will collaborate with senior team members to prepare and deliver effective client presentations, learning to address stakeholders across various levels of the organisation. You will also contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly status updates for internal teams.

You will support planning and tracking for sales activity in your assigned territory and monitor your performance against learning goals and key targets.

You will work with marketing and senior BDMs to gather customer insights and assist in the development of case studies and reference materials.

You will contribute to internal status updates and support retention efforts through client engagement and activity reporting.

Key Responsibilities





Actively prospect new leads via cold outreach, networking, referrals, and inbound follow-up to support pipeline growth Develop early-stage relationships through regular customer touchpoints to build trust and qualify sales opportunities Maintain a disciplined outreach cadence with activity tracking across email, calls, social media, and events Contribute to lead qualification by identifying key decision-makers, needs, and timelines for potential accounts Support CRM hygiene through timely updates on contact records, opportunity stages, and next actions Participate in pipeline review sessions to refine opportunity prioritisation and learn conversion best practices Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align messaging, timing, and campaign participation Build understanding of buyer personas and market trends through active research and competitor monitoring Learn and apply account development techniques, contributing to multi-touch engagement plans


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





2 years in a proactive business development role/lead generation Confident and effective communicator at all levels to CxO Pro-active attitude, ability to communicate consultatively and manage expectations of stakeholders Able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team Organised, able to meet deadlines, work well under pressure and deliver results on sales KPIs set Familiarity with CRM tools Positive and enthusiastic Excellent organisational and time management skills Patient and understanding of the school environment Positive, respectful attitude to customers and staff alike Can-do approach to challenges, positive contributor Good level of emotional intelligence



Desirable:Demonstrable experience in understanding software solutions Experience working with SaaS products Experience working with Schools/Local Authorities/Caterers
