As we continue to grow, we're looking for a reliable and proactive Junior Buyer to join our friendly, hard-working team at our Roydon office.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you'll play a key part in the smooth running of our procurement operations -- supporting the buying process from supplier sourcing through to site delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in construction materials, logistics, and supplier management who's ready to develop within a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the sourcing and purchasing of materials

Raise and process purchase orders accurately and on time

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

Monitor delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive to site as required

Check prices and delivery notes, helping to control costs and maintain margin targets

Liaise with site managers, engineers and accounts teams to resolve queries quickly

Monitor muck away logs against delivery tickets & invoices

Keep material databases and supplier records up to date

Support senior team members with price comparisons, tendering, procurement reports, and project cost tracking

About You

Some experience in construction buying or procurement (preferred but not essential)

Strong organisation and communication skills

Confident with Microsoft Excel and purchase order systems

Keen attention to detail with a methodical approach to work

Commercially aware and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

Reliable and punctual - ideally based locally to Roydon / Harlow / Hoddesdon area

Enthusiastic and eager to learn from experienced industry professionals
