Junior Buyer
role and support the smooth running of our purchasing and procurement activities.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Junior Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing across the business. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone organised, proactive, and keen to learn.
No previous buying or procurement experience is required, this role is about being proactive, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain a clear list of approved suppliers and commonly used products.
Raise purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery times.
Keep product and supplier information up to date.
Monitor and follow up outstanding orders to ensure materials arrive when needed.
Support site teams and the office with general purchasing queries.
Stay aware of new products, materials, and suppliers that could benefit the business.
Work closely with the office team to ensure purchasing records are accurate.
Requirements
A motivated, reliable, and organised approach to work.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
Confident communication skills (email and phone).
Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, systems).
Willingness to learn and take responsibility
Interest in construction, engineering, or manufacturing.
Experience in an office or admin environment.
Familiarity with purchase orders or supplier communication.
